2021/05: The Martlets Society published an invited article in Matter (Z. Yin, B. Chen et al., Matter, 2021, 4, 1434-1436
)! The article wrote about the history, mission and vision of our society.
2021/03: I received the Humboldt Research Fellowship!
2021/02: My paper "Stiff, strong and tough laminated glasses with bio-inspired designs" was published in Bioinspiration & Biomimetics!
2020/10: Arrived in Germany! I will start to work at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems with Prof. Metin Sitti.
2020/09: I received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad!
2020/09: The Martlets Society has a website now! And Twitter!
2020/06: The Martlets Society will have talks open for public. I will give the first workshop talk on making academic figures!
2020/05: I passed my PhD defense! Call me Dr. Zhen!
2019/11: I found The Martlets Society! Welcome young scholars all over the world to share their thoughts and know each other.
2019/10: I will be attending SES 2019 in St. Louis, USA. See you there!
2019/06: My paper "Impact-resistant nacre-like transparent materials" was published in Science! A perspective article on our work by Prof. Kyriaki Corinna Datsiou appeared on the same issue as well. Check them out!
2019/06: I will be giving a presentation "Ultra-tough and impact resistant glasses with bioinspired architectures" in 2019 SES Conference (Oct 13-15th) in St. Louis, MO. See you there!
